Installing Shrine Theme or Shrine Pro on your Shopify store takes less than 10 minutes. This step-by-step tutorial walks you through purchase, upload, activation, and basic customization — no coding required.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- An active Shopify store (any plan)
- Admin access to your Shopify dashboard
- Your Shrine Theme purchase confirmation from shrinetheme.io

Step 1: Purchase and Download
- Visit shrinetheme.io and choose Shrine Theme ($29) or Shrine Pro ($39)
- Complete checkout — you'll receive a download link via email
- Download the theme file (.zip) to your computer
- Keep the file zipped — do not extract before uploading
Step 2: Upload to Shopify
- Log in to your Shopify Admin
- Go to Online Store → Themes
- Click Add theme → Upload zip file
- Select the Shrine Theme .zip file you downloaded
- Wait for upload to complete (usually 30–60 seconds)
The theme will appear in your theme library as "Shrine" or "Shrine Pro" — not yet published.
Step 3: Publish the Theme
- In your theme library, find the uploaded Shrine theme
- Click the Actions dropdown (or three dots menu)
- Select Publish
- Confirm when prompted
Your live store now uses Shrine Theme. Visit your storefront URL to see the change.
Step 4: Basic Customization
- From Online Store → Themes, click Customize on Shrine Theme
- Use the left sidebar to navigate pages (Homepage, Product, Collection, etc.)
- Click any section to edit text, images, colors, and layout
- Use Add section to insert any of the 33+ (or 46+ on Pro) available sections
- Click Save when finished
Step 5: Configure Key Settings
Logo & Branding
Go to Theme Settings → Logo. Upload your logo, set favicon, and choose brand colors that match your niche.
Typography
Shrine Theme includes curated font pairings. Select fonts that match your brand — sans-serif for modern stores, serif for luxury niches.
Product Page
Customize your default product page template. Add review sections, shipping info, size charts, and trust badges using the available blocks.
Cart Settings
Configure cart drawer options — enable upsells (Pro only), set free shipping threshold, and add trust badges near checkout.
Common Issues & Fixes
Theme won't upload
Ensure the file is a .zip and under Shopify's 50MB limit. Re-download from shrinetheme.io if the file appears corrupted.
Sections look different from demo
Demo stores use sample content. Add your own images and text through the theme editor — the layout structure is the same.
Mobile layout issues
Always preview changes on mobile using the device toggle in the theme editor. Shrine Theme is mobile-first, but custom content lengths may need adjustment.
